Destree Design Architects worked collaboratively with the city of Madison to develop a shelter design standard for neighborhood parks that reflects and supports the City of Madison’s commitment to an unsurpassed parks program. Lake Edge park was the first shelter to be constructed to this new standard. The design incorporates durable and elegant materials selected by the neighborhood, utilizes natural daylighting and promotes community gathering and safety.
