Working extensively with stakeholders, Destree provided programming and design services for the renovation of the 5th floor at the University of Wisconsin School of Business. Home to four distinct departments, the 7,000 sf space is tailored to 44 users with diverse work styles, varied schedules, and planned organizational growth. To support and promote collaboration, the floor features a mix of conference rooms, huddle rooms, phone rooms, and collaboration areas for users to meet with each other in-person and virtually. With all staff located in an open office setting, acoustic comfort is priority. Sound masking, acoustic ceiling elements, acoustic wallcovering, and felt dividing panels are thoughtfully integrated in the design to dampen sound while contributing to the aesthetics of the office.
